Kevin L Jefferson

Treasurer

Kevin Jefferson is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.

He was commissioned a field artillery officer and served with rapid deployment units in the United States and the Persian Gulf. Upon entering the civilian sector, Kevin has exhibited his managerial and leadership talents with multiple fortune 50 companies. He started his first privately held company, Jefferson Capital Partners, in 2005 and has continued to see success as exhibited by the accolades he has received.

Kevin was selected from thousands of young professionals to represent America in Norway for a month-long business and cultural exchange. He was offered employment twice before leaving Norway! Kevin has been nominated for several chamber of commerce small business awards, emerging as a finalist for young professional of the year and contender for entrepreneur of the year. His company was also nominated for the better business bureau’s torch award for small business marketplace ethics three years in a row. He has collaborated with institutions, state and local governments across the United States to provide more than $2.5 billion usd in economic development and strategic financial planning services.

Before the selling and re-organization of their partnerships, Kevin and his partners managed more than $120 million in financial assets. With more than 18 years’ experience in financial services spanning from personal financial advisory services to foreign currency trading, Kevin has created a comprehensive foreign currency education and training company, followmytradesdotcom, inc., to satisfy the needs of institutional and retail traders across the globe. He works with family offices, institutions, individuals, and private wealth managers to assist them in better understanding and adding alternative assets to their portfolios.

Kevin is an advocate of volunteerism and has mentored several african- american teen males, going as far as buying laptops and obtaining internet in a student’s home so that they could better achieve. For nearly 10 years, he taught economics and success skills classes through junior achievement usa, a program designed to teach students the importance of finance and economics in all aspects of their lives. Kevin has chaired and served as a member of the 100 black men of america, the committee of 100(education task force), girls inc.(treasurer), junior achievement (treasurer), the hands-on network (chairman), boys & girls club of america, mental health association (treasurer), as well as the board of trustees for court appointed special advocates services for children(casa).

Kevin resides in Dallas, Tx with his wife Jennifer and their two sons. He enjoys boxing, creative writing, and travelling.
